Atlantic Symphony Orchestra & For Music Lovers

Donations

ASO connects South Shore audiences to outstanding music right here in the community — because we believe in the power of great music and performances to bring joy, provide comfort, nurture lives, and enhance our quality of life.

YOU are ASO’s biggest source of funding and make each concert season possible. Without you, we could not continue as a professional orchestra providing at least 8 concerts every year.

To donate to our annual fund, or to recognize a musician with a donation, please see the information below.

For information on concert sponsorships and ad purchases, please visit our sponsorships & ads page.

Please consider a donation of any size to our annual fund.  This donation will be used where most needed, and is fully tax-deductible according to the law.

We are so grateful for the many supporters who make ASO concerts possible with these donations. As you may know, ticket sales for most orchestras only cover up to half of our costs.

In these challenging times, music is more vital to our society than ever, and that means we also need your support more than ever.

All donors are recognized under the appropriate level in the donor lists of all program books.

Thank you for all you do. We are so very grateful.

Support ASO and have a direct impact by recognizing one of our extraordinary musicians – neighbors living in Boston and on the South Shore – today.

Our musicians love to see that an audience member appreciates their passion, experience and skills.  They are notified when a donation is made in recognition of them, unless a donor requests otherwise.

All donations given to recognize musicians will be noted clearly in three areas of the program book –  on the orchestra roster page, in the donor list, and in a special highlighted notice – unless an anonymous donation is requested.

A donation of $325 recognizes a principal musician (the first chair of every section) for a single concert.

A donation of $250 recognizes a section musician for a single concert.

A donation of $1100 recognizes any musician for the full 5 concerts at Thayer Academy.

After receiving your donation, we will contact you to discuss which musician you wish to recognize. Contact Tammy Lynch for more information, or call 781-331-3600.

Although the topic is very difficult to think about, a bequest is one of the simplest and most meaningful ways to support ASO through your estate plans. By including a charitable gift in your will or trust, you can help ensure that ASO continues to provide incredible concerts on the South Shore for years to come.

Charitable bequests also may offer potential estate tax advantages. Individuals interested in planned giving should consult with an attorney or financial advisor to ensure their wishes are properly documented.

ASO can provide additional information, if needed.  Please call 781-331-3600 or write to info@atlanticsymphony.org.
