On the Lawn at Glastonbury Abbey

Bring a chair or a blanket, enjoy a picnic and even play some cornhole on the lawn!

Join ASO as we kick off our 2023/24 season with one of a kind outdoor family afternoon concert on the beautiful grounds at Glastonbury Abbey in Hingham.

The program will feature vocal and instrumental solos including piano four hands from Broadway musicals and operas, plus classical and popular music performed by four amazing artists.

We are sorry to report that soprano Chelsea Basler has had to withdraw from tomorrow’s Sunset at the Abbey because of illness. We will miss her and hope that she is feeling better soon!

We are lucky that TWO prize-winning young violinists are available to join us instead. Joshua Brown and Nick Hammer will perform both solo and as a duo. We are thrilled to be able to showcase them for the first time on the South Shore!

The concert will now featuring prize-winning violinists Joshua Brown and Nick Hammer, audience favorite mezzo Caroline deLima Rubb, and a special four-hand piano performance from the PSYCHOPOMP ENSEMBLE (ASO pianist Xiaopei Xu and Chi Wei Lo).

All ages welcome.  Ages 17 and under, Card to Culture EBT and WIC card holders and local music teachers receive free admission with ID.  Rain date: Sun., Sept. 10.

Please bring a non-perishable food item to be donated to the South Shore Food Bank![/vc_column_text]
