Volunteer Opportunities

Interested in Volunteering with ASO? We'd love it!

Volunteering is a great way to support the orchestra and make new acquaintances! We cherish our volunteers. They’re an important part of the ASO family.

Volunteering with ASO is also an excellent way for high school students to fulfill their community service.

All volunteers receive two concert tickets for each ASO concert, plus additional tickets to designated concerts.  ASO also is implementing a new reciprocity program with other area non-profits, which will result in discount vouchers to certain events.

We welcome help with a wide variety of duties:
 
— Ushering at concerts held at Thayer Academy’s Center for the Arts,
— Greeting guests as they enter the venue,
— Selling tickets,
— Decorating the lobby prior to concerts,
— Setting up concessions,
— Overseeing food for musicians during their rehearsal breaks,
— Helping with flyer and postcard distribution and other outreach to the community.
