ASO Executive Director — Tammy Lynch

Tammy Lynch joined ASO as Executive Director in May 2023, after over a decade of leadership at performing arts organizations. Prior to ASO, she served as General Manager for Lexington Symphony in Lexington, MA, where she helped introduce new Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) systems and a more robust focus on community outreach.

This focus on partnership and collaboration underpins her work with ASO, finding new ways to impact and be useful within the community.  This is particularly important as schools grapple with a decline in public music education, making a focus on ASO’s Partnership in Music Education program a necessity.

Lynch worked as Director of Front of House Management for six years at Boston Symphony Orchestra, creating welcoming environments for audience members at Symphony Hall and Tanglewood’s Shed, Ozawa Hall and the Linde Center. She also previously served as Managing Director at Juventas New Music Ensemble. Earlier in her career, she worked in political communications in Boston, Washington, D.C., Russia and Ukraine.

She holds a Doctor of Philosophy from Boston University, a Master of Science in International Relations from Boston University, and a Bachelor of Science in Communications from Ithaca College.
