Symphonic / Main-Stage Concerts

Masterworks Opening Night • Joyful Noise! • Masterworks After Hours • Masterworks Classical • Season Finale: Pops!

With the exception of occasional Jordan Hall concerts in Boston, ASO’s main symphonic concerts are proudly performed in the Hale Theater at Thayer’s Center for the Arts, in Braintree, thanks to our long partnership with Thayer Academy. The building is on the corner of Washington Street and Central Avenue. This location is easily accessed from both Route 128 and Route 3.

Parking is free and close to the building. Please see the map and satellite picture on this page or visit the campus map.

Most Center for the Arts evenings provide a pre-concert reception in the lobby. Enjoy a glass of wine or non-alcoholic beverage* and some light refreshment, beginning at 6:30 pm. Concert hall doors open at 7:00 pm.

We offer choose-your-own reserved seating for this venue. If you have difficulty using the seating chart or purchasing tickets, please call our office at 781-331-3600.

*There is seating in the hall for handicapped and limited mobility guests and their companions, as well as wheelchair locations — please call 781-331-3600 to reserve these seats. An elevator is available to access upstairs seating. A public address system is used during all speaking portions of the concert; please call us if you require additional audio support. Onstage lighting also is used during the concert and house lights are usually dimmed during performances. Please let an usher know if you require seating that lessens the impact of stage lighting.

*Donations are gratefully accepted to support ASO’s hospitality bar, generously sponsored by Bin Ends Wine. Our “Masterworks: After Hours” concert includes a post-concert reception with special food and drink offerings.

If you need more information regarding this concert location, please call us (not Thayer) at 781-331-3600.
